First time homebuyer tax credit

Goes away November 30th!! You must close by then or you aren't eligible. Lenders are taking more time than ever approving anyone's loan. You have to find the home, neogotiate with the sellers and or a bank if it's a short sale, jump thru the extra hoops required these days and deal with all the unknowns. And trust me there will be some. As you can see this is already a tight window and as no one knows if Congress will extend the program if you want to take advantage you must start NOW.
